Melissa has collaborated with Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Z Space, and New Repertory Theatre. She has had the privledge of working with The Bengsons on Hundred Days and on Mary Zimmerman's Treasure Island. One of her favorite experiences to date was touring a new play, Owners of Nothing across the United States in a Red Dodge Caravan with Trainsiet Theater. She is proud founding member of the Oakland based theatre collective The Bonfire Makers, who's work has been recognized by The Bold Italic and KQED Arts. Now that she is based in Brooklyn, NY, Melissa is working as a freelance performer and has been developing her own work.
She is currently creating a new indie folk musical, Enough. In July 2017, she performed a first iteration at The Tank's Dark Fest. This past fall, she was able to further develop the piece as an artist in residence at The Sable Project in Stockbridge, Vermont and with In the Water Theatre Co. on Block Island. This May, she will be performing music from Enough at Dixon Place.
